I grew up in Sydney, overlooking the harbour, which became the centre of my world. The sea and waterscapes always take me home to safe and happy times and as I become immersed in my work, I do not smell the turpentine and affiliated odours, I smell the salt air, feel the sun on my shoulders, the studio walls disappear, I am there in mind and spirit.
